Anglesey valley railway was started in 2005 as an early
retirement project. Early so I could pay for it whilst still
working and then finish it after I retire.
We ran for 2005 on a temporary track to see if the layout and
track plan worked and then we ripped it all up and re-layed the
track with modifications in its current form.
We have an end to end track with passing section and a reversing
lop at each end. The track goes around the lawn and the two
reversing loops come together. There is also a main line which
also surrounds not just the lawn but the water feature as well.
The main line has a five track fiddle yard for assembling and
holding trains.
The controls are MTS and the passing section is automated so
that head on collisions are avoided.
