THE NEW CLASS 66 FORCES

“THE FISHY BUSINESS” SALE .

With the promise of a Gauge one Class 66 I have started to build a Container Terminal! These don’t come small in this scale! Two cranes have so far been constructed (please see attached pictures), one is a Stothard and Pitt rail mounted crane which can travel along the rails, traverse, pick up a container, rotate and place the container where required ; this comes out 3 feet x 2 feet by 3 feet high! The second is a smaller rubber tyred crane of the Mi-Jack design and is a static model but can be posed with working exhaust. Both cranes will be festooned with lights. I am also in the process of producing some bogie container flat wagons which will be similar to the FEA. I may be able to produce some extra Container wagons if there is any interest? All this for the Class 66! With the administrators permission I will post updates as and when progress occurs.

I had hoped to be able to keep the Fishy Business but it has to go to make room for the Container Terminal with two container cranes, a repair facility for wagon flats and a loco servicing area.

Please bear in mind the Fishy Business is professionally constructed with all the buildings scratch built using the plank by plank technique. In all over 1000 hours work. There are many cameos and details, Smoking chimney, Fishermen, Eagles feeding young, 8 Seals, Ranger, Easy pickings, Trash bandits, 30+ trees and many Seagulls etc etc etc. It is based in the USA but could easily be changed to suit any location. Baseboards except the Wharf use “Styrofoam” and are very lightweight.
