Avon Valley School, Rugby.

This was a show that was put on despite a major fire at the school in 2004. I think the organisers and the school staff really deserve a pat on the back and I believe it was the right decision to support the school and look forward to the difference next year.

The School was easy to get to by car, thanks to Steve Warrington’s instruction and there was plenty of parking on site.

There was a good selection of Trade stands although it is a pity that there were not more stands selling “Homemade” items like

Model Town, Pendlebury and Tuxcraft for example.

The only hiccup in the otherwise smooth operation of the day was the delayed opening of the second hand sales hall. Surely someone could have let us queuers know what was going on!

After travelling a fair distance to get to the show I was impressed with the food. Well done to the catering staff for a good selection of food at very reasonable prices and excellent service.

Overall a well organised and enjoyable show I managed to grab some goodies from the second hand stall and managed to sell the items I brought along. For once I ended up with more money in my pocket than I started with. My wife finds it very hard to believe it!
