Llanfair  3rd and 4th. September 2005

This show has established itself as one of the major events in Large Scale modelling.  This is definitely not a show to be missed. If you tire of model railways then the real thing is just a couple of minutes away.

A really good selection of trade stands, although a good tool and accessory stand would be welcome. Several layouts provide that extra interest. The “Railways of the World” layout seemed to pack a lot of varied rolling stock in.

Although the trade stands are there to sell their goods they always seem to have the time to give their help and advice and

that, to me, is what makes going to these shows worthwhile.

As always I am always looking for those small items to enhance my layout and I was interested to see that Pendlebury Models were demonstrating their new colour light signal. Model Town

always seem to have a varied and expanding range of figures at really good value. Lineside Delights also do a really good range of trackside features.

Several stands were also selling the new Accucraft UK British outline models and I think they are terrific value at the moment.

Entrance was Five pounds and there was plenty of free parking well marshalled by a helpful band of youngsters. Good value refreshments by friendly staff (even if there was a minor tea problem at one stage). I would have liked to see a handout listing the stands as sometimes this can be useful for names after the event.

It was nice to see some G Scale Mad Badge wearers there too.
