The S&NLR (Sprowston & Norwich Light Railway) started as a circle of track with 1 loco and two carriages and as I got more locos I wanted more track, so it was decided we will build the railway out in the garden.

The garden railway was finished in three-two weeks with an open day held just the day after the track had been layed.

At the moment we have a total of six locos and one other loco on display in our main station Sprowston which is very popular with children as the loco is Thomas the Tank Engine. We have at least two open days a year.

We also visit other railways mainly the Fundenhall railway which is a much bigger railway than our own, and another garden railway were we have our own little line off the main running sercut.

Our railway is still expanding which new buildings and locos arriving we may look like a fineshed railway but remember no railway is ever fineshed!
